Yes — every center is verified as DOHMH (Department of Health and Mental Hygiene) or OCFS (Office of Children and Family Services) licensed before they're listed. We check the license number against the state registry, and a center is removed if their license lapses.

Payments happen securely in the PickNBook app. You see the full price before you book — the center's rate plus PickNBook's 5% service fee — and there's no subscription. Your card is charged when the provider confirms; funds are released to the center after care is completed.

Yes. The app shows real-time availability — including same-day and weekend slots when providers open them. Most last-minute bookings are confirmed within minutes.

Each daycare sets its own cancellation window — 24 hours before the start time by default, up to 10 days — and you see it before you book. Until the daycare confirms, cancelling releases your payment in full. Once it's confirmed, cancelling inside the window refunds the booking price (PickNBook's 5% service fee isn't refunded); after the window closes, there's no refund. If the daycare cancels, you get a full refund, service fee included.

Yes — the PickNBook app is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The website is for browsing and discovery; all bookings happen in the app.

Each center sets its own age range — from infants (as young as 6 weeks at some centers) through pre-K and school-age. Filter by your child's age in the app to see matching providers.

PickNBook generates itemized receipts after every booking that include the provider's tax ID, address, dates, and amount paid — the standard documentation for Dependent Care FSA reimbursement. Always confirm eligibility with your plan administrator.
